5LOVE IT!Apr 13, 2010
By Deborah M. Lugo
I bought the blue seahorse when my daughter was about 5 months old. It was her nap and sleeping toy/stuffed animal that only lives in her crib,so she learned to know this toy with sleep only. This also makes it great for trips. Once she see's it she feels more comfortable. She has grown very attached to this toy.

The seahorse has volume control which is great bc babies cuddle up to it and the music can be soft and not hurt their ears. As my daughter grew, she learned how to turn it on and off, great for cause/effect. I also taught my daughter about the seahorses eyes, nose, tail, color etc. Every morning she hands it to me,gives it a kiss and shows me that she can turn it on,so cute. She is now 17 months old and still loves it!

I also bought another one in pink for her grandparents to leave over their house for sleepovers. Love it!! Almost better than the oldie glow worm! lol

5Great for all ages!Mar 10, 2010

My 3 1/2 year old uses this occasionally to soothe himself to sleep when he's afraid of the dark, and my 1 1/2 year old daughter also loves it. By the way, their 39 year old mom also loves it and finds it incredibly soothing at night. It is the one truly "baby music" toy that I feel I should have owned when they were babies, but we adore it as much now so who cares!!!

5Great Buy!Dec 28, 2009
By Carrie Petersen "book lover"
I got this on Christmas Eve at my local Target for $9.99. I was a little unsure as to whether my 6 month old would enjoy it. However, my days of being unable to get her down for a nap are over!! I just put my baby in the crib with her seahorse and she's out before the music ends! Best $9.99 I've ever spent. :)

3Daughter loves it, but I don't.Nov 12, 2011
By mommy Rizzo
My daughter received this as a gift when she was about 5 months old. It seems to really help her relax, and since it is always only in her crib, she associates it with sleep which is a plus. We also have an extra an her grandparents house to ease naptimes over there. She is now 14 months old and she still loves it. She has figured out how to squeeze it to turn it on and off, but has also figured out how to undo the velcro on the back and always tries to take out the mechanisms inside. The reason why I don't like it is because, compared to some of her other battery-operated toys, this one seems to go through batteries like they're going out of style. It seems on average, I have to replace the waning batteries about every 2 months or so, which seems a little excessive to me. It only gets used 3 times a day, for the 5 minutes it stays on. I have to sneak in her room after she falls asleep to take it out of her crib because she moves around alot in her sleep and will accidentally turn it on if I don't take it out. She has some other crib soother toys that have had the same batteries in them since the day she was born and they still work fine. Even on her swing, I only had to change those batteries twice in the 11 months she used the thing, and she used it CONSTANTLY as an infant. Overall, it's a great toy for babies and for naptime, but be prepared to spend alot on batteries. I'm very surprised no one else has noticed this problem and mentioned it in their reviews.

4was given as a gift and now giving this one as a giftApr 16, 2010
By BigBoy
A friend gave this as a gift for my son. He seems to like it. He hugs it as he falls asleep.

My son's a finicky sleeper so if i turn it on while he's sleeping then he usually wakes up but if I turn it on as he's falling asleep then he's ok. It lights up, soothing melodies with some bubble sounds, 2 volume setting, and when pressed to turn off song doesn't cut off... it slowly lowers sound until it's off.

Getting this pink one for my new born neice.
